Watching the news about the devastating fires in Los Angeles, I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to the stories of loss and rebuilding.
As an outsider, seeing homes and lives go up in flames reminded me of my own moments when my world was turned upside down, when everything I worked so hard to build was suddenly taken away.
The images of lives and homes reduced to ashes struck a nerve, reminding me of the times my own world burned to the ground-figuratively speaking.
Those moments when everything I’d worked so hard to build was suddenly taken away felt just as consuming as the flames I saw on screen.
The fires became a metaphor for the moments in my life where destruction felt absolute, and starting over seemed impossible.
But just like the resilience of those rising from the ashes in LA, I’ve learned that rebuilding is not only possible-it’s powerful.
When My World Was Taken Away Life has a way of testing you, and I’ve faced more than my share of heartbreaks.
Each one threatened to pull me under, yet somehow, I found the strength to rise.
Being abandoned by my father : Growing up without the love and protection of a father made me question my place in the world.
But over time, I realized that I could become my own source of strength and stability.
Enduring domestic violence : There were moments when I felt utterly broken, trapped in a cycle of fear and pain.
Walking away was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but it was also the beginning of reclaiming my power.
Becoming a single mother : Raising children alone was both a challenge and a privilege.
It taught me resilience, patience, and the strength to keep going, even when the odds were stacked against me.
Fighting lawsuits : Legal battles drained my energy, my finances, and at times, my faith in people.
But they also taught me to stand firm, protect what I’d built, and never back down.
Losing my third child : This was a pain so profound that it’s hard to put into words.
It’s a loss I carry with me every day, but it also gave me a deeper appreciation for life and the children I’m blessed to hold.
Each of these moments felt like a fire in its own right, consuming everything in its path.
But like the survivors in Los Angeles, I found a way to begin again.
Starting Over Rebuilding isn’t easy.
It requires faith, grit, and the belief that something better is waiting on the other side of the pain.
During my darkest moments, I often whispered, “God, show me the way.” And while I didn’t always get answers right away, I know I was guided and protected by something greater than myself - that God is there.
Starting over taught me that loss doesn’t define you-what you do next does.
It’s not about pretending the pain isn’t there; it’s about embracing it, using it as fuel to create something new, and being aware that this is temporary, that you’re tested it you truly deserve to be given the better life.
From Pain to Power The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that heartbreak isn’t the end; it’s an invitation to rise.
The struggles I’ve faced have shaped me into the woman I am today.
They gave me the courage to build Avi Siwa Beauty-not just as a brand, but as a movement, a legacy, and a testament to resilience.
Every product I create carries the story of someone who refused to give up.
It’s a reminder that even when life takes everything away, you have the power to rebuild-not just your life, but yourself.
To Anyone Rebuilding If you’re watching the fires in LA, or if you’re going through your own personal fire right now, I want you to know this: You’re stronger than you think.
Loss is painful, but it’s not permanent.
Use the ashes as the foundation for something greater.
Starting over isn’t about failure; it’s about courage.
It’s about choosing to rise when everything feels like it’s falling apart.
Each of these moments felt like a wildfire, leaving me scorched and stripped to my core.
But as devastating as those fires were, they also cleared the ground for something new to grow.
They forced me to rebuild-not as the same person, but as someone stronger, braver, and more determined to succeed.
Life’s fires can feel unbearable, but they also hold the power to transform us.
When everything burns down, you get to decide what rises from the ashes.
Do you cling to what you’ve lost, or do you start over fearlessly?
For me, I chose the latter.
I continued creating businesses and now a business that empowers women, and found a way to turn my pain into purpose.
And while my journey is far from perfect, I’m here, standing tall, and showing others that they can, too.
So, to anyone facing their own fire right now, remember: even in the midst of destruction, there’s hope.
When it all burns down, you have the power to create something extraordinary from the ashes.
Let’s rebuild-fearlessly, together.
